The Concept

We wanted to capture the optimism and playfulness of late-1970s design, where British brutalism met cosmic communism. The client’s brief to us included the 1977 Apple logo, Verner Panton interior, and Soviet tube stations, with the interior utilising those to combine bold colour, sculptural forms and a touch of British wit. Curved volcanic columns hold up the dining room, alongside the green kitchen passe and lemon yellow high group table, with crisp chrome accents being used to help bounce light around the space. The finished result is a space that feels confident, welcoming and unpretentious - playful at heart but refined in character.
