The Concept
For Gymkhana’s expansion over to Las Vegas, we didn’t want to move too far away from the London interior because it’s a signature of the brand. A lot of the velvets we chose were based around streetscapes in Chandigarh and Pondicherry. We also wanted to maintain the intimacy and coziness of Mayfair, and to do that we lowered ceilings and introduced arches to break up the space - with Kashmiri red chilli-coloured ceilings and timber joinery helping to evoke the vibrant atmosphere of India.
